At Perspective Ministry we desire to serve our community through a variety of counseling options.

Pre-Marital
According to a well known wedding website, the average engagement is 15 months long! A lot of planning goes into your wedding and reception that lasts only one day.
But how do you plan for a lifetime of marriage?
We believe that the most important part of preparing for marriage is the time you invest in learning about God’s design for marriage and how, as a couple, this will be applied in your marriage. Meeting together and discovering more about God and about each other, you and your fiancé will be equipped for a life together that lasts long after the bird seed has been thrown.
Pastor Dave would be honored to officiate your wedding after the agreed upon course of pre-marital counsel.
Marriage Building
We believe the Word of God is the foundation to build all aspects of our life upon-including marriage. Just as a house needs routine care and maintenance to remain sound, so do our marriages. Perhaps you are newlyweds navigating the newness of the marriage relationship. Maybe you find yourselves empty nesters, alone with each other after many years of marriage. We can all benefit from returning to the foundations that our marriages are founded on.
Think of it as the marital version of a home improvement show, making what already exists even better.
Sometimes, crisis comes. That’s when we need God’s wisdom and counsel to find our way to wholeness, and we want to help. Please don’t suffer alone, but allow God’s Word, God’s Spirit and pastoral counsel to help you through this difficult time.

One to One Discipleship: For Men
You go to church, maybe to a small group Bible study as well, so why do One to One Discipleship?
*Do you want to grow in your faith but you’re not sure how?
*Do you have questions about what you read in the Bible?
*Do you find it difficult to apply the things you read and hear from God’s Word to your own life?
*Do you long for a peace and direction you thought you would have as a Christian but it’s just not there?
*Do you just need someone to talk through a situation, a struggle or doubts with?
*Do you struggle with addiction and need help?
Discipleship is different than counseling or Bible study. It’s a safe place to share the questions and concerns on your heart, knowing that the direction you get won’t be someone’s opinion but taken from the Word of God. Building on the foundations of our faith, discipleship helps you to grow in the knowledge of God’s word, spiritual disciplines, and how to live as a Christian.
How long should you participate in discipleship? Your whole remaining life! All followers of Jesus are disciples, learning from Him until we go to be with Him. As for One to One Discipleship, after meeting with you and seeking the Lord, Pastor Dave will suggest a path of spiritual direction for you to take. That may be a few meetings to talk and pray, or a series of meetings using various discipleship material.
